Africa is currently the top emerging market of the world and with that, there are many numerous stories of what is happening, what is working and what isn't. In the media, what we are missing are the actual true stories that are making a difference on the continent today, with long term benefits and true defined growth. Media seems to be highly focused on politics, sports, crime, social ills, the amount of money raised by an idea or how hot the idea is on Social Media, instead of focusing on the actual quality and innovation of the idea and how it matures into a sustainable business. Our media is now focused on talking about the big, establish players and what they are releasing, instead of paying attention to the rest of the continent. Therefore, we end up looking at poor opinions and ideologies and lack of integrity by writers on mainstream media and social media. Its made the media and blogging boring. To be honest, we can't have that.
Therefore, we decided to find stories that are game changers, and adapt them to various contexts, making them relevant to the reader and reducing the unnecessary noise in stories. While breaking news is important, so are stories about smaller cottage industries and small businesses. We are dedicated to providing content by curating and commenting and sharing ideas.
